The immigration office is near the entrance to the gates, on the back wall as you walk in from outside.

Walk in, fill out a form, show your card/passport, fork over some money and it is done.

If you have the time, I usually prefer doing it at my local immi office sometime before I leave. One less thing to have to think about on "Travel Day".

Immigration is located on the same floor as the check-in desks. Go to counter H's general area...near the Thai Airways check-in. Walk back to the back of the airport (ie/ opposite the doors from where you came in) and there is a small hallway. On the outside wall of the hallway is a really tiny sign that says "IMMIGRATION" - there is also an information desk close to counter H and the girl there can point you to it if you can't find it.

It takes about 5 minutes to get the stamp - there are papers on the table, fill one out before you go to the counter, give the person your passport, alien card and the 30,000 won. She'll stamp your passport and you're outta there. The staff spoke english when I went a few months ago.

Best to get the stamp before you check in, since most airlines will want to see the visa status when you do. Oh, and bring a pen- they didn't seem to have any when I was there last. It takes somewhat longer than five minutes, but if it's getting close to your flight time, they'll let you skip ahead in line. Have a good trip.

Immigration asked me to get it done before i go to the airport next time. I just went ahead and got a multiple stamp the last time I was at the immigration office at Omogkyo.
