I'm sure this is a long shot, but any chance that Vegemite or Marmite is findable in Daegu? My class has a lesson on NZ coming up and I'd love to bring some in for them to try... |

Might have to go to Seoul for that one. Wouldn't mind having some myself, actually. |

Wheek - I will happily give you one of my two precious Vegemite sachets... it is only a single serve, but enough I guess for a taste. Will be interested in their response!!
Have just sent you a PM.. |

You should save the vegemite for your class on Australia =)
I have vegemite. But you can't have it. Sorry. I reckon it might be hard to find in Daegu.. best bet would be to try and find an Australian who over-packed and brought 100 jars instead of 24 =) |

I know, I know. And technically, Marmite is originally from the UK. But the "Time For Kids" we're using in class mentions them both in the NZ article, so I figured any yeasty brown spread would work. Plus, considering my current location, I figure beggars can't be choosers.
Matilda: many thanks for the offer, but I don't love my students nearly enough to take the vegemite out of a real Aussie's mouth. |
