I've had plenty of experience with Wishing Well. It's not too bad for a franchise system. The biggest pain is that you have to co-teach with it a good deal of time. The satarter books have a lot of stickers which makes it fun for the first and second graders but it's a pain in the ass and a waste of your time.
The more advanced books are great, except for the occasional error, As you teach through the series you begin to learn some grammar terms you might have forgot.
I prefer not to teach it but I have to twice a week.
As a stand alone system, it's okay, with supplementary materials and different books, it a pretty effective core.
In short, I don't mind it, but I only have to teach it twice a week. If I had to teach it everyday, I would not take the job. |
