Anyone else have this trouble? Is there something I may be doing wrong? |

Click on all trains and then check transfer not direct. |

OK I just did a quick search. You can't go to Busan directly from Mokpo. You have to change at Daejeon... so if your search criteria is direct, then there won't be any trains. Same goes for Seoul. Gotta change at Daejeon. |

Thanks for the help. If I check the schedule using the "transfer" option, it works....BUT....
When I went to Seoul during Chuseok last Sept, I was able to go from Mokpo to Seoul direct on the KTX, as the route is on a single line....and still is I believe. I know we stopped a lot of stations momentarily, Daejeon included, but I didn't have to get off the train at all...and it was much cheaper than the options now being presented to me. It was 41,400 to go from Mokpo to Seoul....what happened, anyone know?? |

May be it was a chuseok special - they often add extra services because of the sheer volume of people wanting to commute during these times. |

I had that problem also a month or so ago. I would put Seoul in as the destination and get the error message. I thought it was something wrong with the web-site and kept trying for a few days. Then a Korean friend of mine told me that you have to put in Yongsan as your destination as the KTX doesn't go right to Seoul station anymore. I'm not sure if that is accurate information but I put in Yongsan as the destination and it worked. |

SUBJECT: Gyeongbu Line trains to depart at Seoul Station; Honam Line trains at Yongsan
Beginning December 15, Yongsan Station will become the station exclusively for departure and arrival of Honam Line trains, including KTX and conventional trains, while Seoul Station will serve as the station for Gyeongbu Line trains. The number of KTX operations will also increase by 10 times to 132 from 122 during weekdays, and by 12 times to 142 from 130 during weekends.
Explaining the new schedules, Korail said it has decided to increase the number of trains operating at hours that are preferred by passengers, and maintain operational schedules of trains at regular intervals by simplifying the pattern of their operation, and increasing the number of stops. |

Thanks for the info about Yongsan....that makes much more sense now. Not sure why they stopped going into Seoul Station(maybe b/c so many folks get off at Yongsan, and they just built that station, and want to make use of it??)....but ah well, at least I can figure the schedule out now. Thank you! |

Wow... thank for the info... now I understand why folks said they couldn't get train tickets from Gwangju to Seoul last Saturday... (not even to Yongsan...)... |
