Chingu is good. Gangster flick about a group of four friends.

Dont really like Korean movies in general though...too much drama. Watched Silmido and while it was decent, during the battle scenes theyd just kind of freeze time for 10 minutes while the two brothers would have some sort of emotional moment.
'AHHHHHHHH!!!! The North Koreans are coming!!!! Run for your life!!!!'
(North Koreans about ten feet from the two brothers and closing in fast)
-Enter ten minute overly dramatic scene here-
(North Koreans still ten feet from the two brothers)

Musa - swords, arrows, and beheadings flick with Zhang Ziyi being a pouty princess
Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance - if you like Oldboy it's in a similar vein.
Wind's Fighter (probably some proper English name) - just watched it recently and it starts off sluggish but if you like fighting movies the second half is pretty good

Spy Girl.

Just kidding. I watched it in a class at my university. It was a terrible movie.

Aside from some of the movies already listed, I also really like ȭ.

Check out Scandal...it's based on Dangerous Liasons...but it's Korean style and very very well done.
It's the best one I've seen by far

I liked "Please teach me English".
Really funny. Though I haven't been able to find it in any rental stores or even for sale anywhere recently.

Il Mare is a really good movie, its being remade now in hollywood starring keanu reeves and sandra bullock, watch the korean version first, it was beautiful. korean title is 'shiworae'

also a really disturbing movie is called (kkot ip) 'A Petal' it will remain in your head for a while. it stars lee jung hyun when she was a child.

Sopyonjae- korean pansori, folk song- father is a bit psycho and makes his daughter go blind for her art

Greenfish (cho rok mool go gi) - gangster movie

The Letter (pyeon-ji) - sad, touching movie

Gingko Bed (eun heng na moo chim dae) - reincarnation/past life etc.

Number 3 - hilarious gangster movie but not sure if humor translates well into English

My wife is a gangster

I saw this movie the other day for the umpteenth time and always enjoy it.But i have a question... at the end of the film the woman gangster has a duel with another gang boss. That guy is supposedly a famous Korean actor and he was just playing a cameo at the end of the film.

Who is he? He's only in the film for thirty seconds and he steals the whole show...coolest guy Ive ever seen in Korea.

Anyone got a name?

taeguki and my sasy girl are better than JSA? Shocked No way. Taeguki was overly dramatic and too long. My sassy girl definitly could have been edited more as well.
