How long does it take to recieve the visa from the london embassy?? I heard 5 working days (after receiving the blue application form). Thats seems far too long as it took only a few hours to process in Japan.

5 days is the official line. Sometimes you can get it quicker but they don't like doing it!

I've got 2 e2 visas from the London and it has never taken 5 working days, getting your sponsor to phone them can speed things up a little and this approach has worked both times for me. Don't rely on this though! You never know with these embassy people.

It is possible to get it done quicker but there are no guarantees.

Good luck.
