Just met an Indian guy in this PC room. He gave me a hard luck story, I gave him some money. No job after the factory closed, no place to stay, sleeping in PC rooms and saunas. Change his skin colour and he'd be teaching English and having a ball. Life is a game of chance.

That's a nice post and a nice thing to do. These guys likely do have legitimate grievences, yet never seem to whine with (and at!) the same frequency that we do.

Me, too. Though I don't mind saying it. There are hypocrites in every corner, and even within circles working for social justice, there are fashionistas and bandwagoneers. One hopes that if she were given a tour of the factories where her sunnies were made, and shown the effect her cotton T has on the environment, she'd actually act. instead of posing.

Why change the world? It is fantastic the way it is...it is great to be on top of the mountain. Everyone who talks about how unfair and how unjust everthing is , is just a liar. We don't really want to give up anything we have or enjoy. Why lie to yourself and everyone, just say it loud and clear " GREED IS GOOD!!!!"
I will spend my life gathering as much money and having as much fun as it is possible to do, and I will die with a big smile on my face. You can give up everything and live in filth digging ditches, not me.

I wasn't trying to say "feel guilty about enjoying your life". I think the lesson is more on the lines of "don't look down on poor people". And don't assume people better off than you deserve it either.
