Hello!

I just moved to Seoul recently and was wondering where I could buy a phone card from. I saw in the "sticky" posts that someone said they sell phone cards in Itaewon. Where in Itaewon? Like what is the name of the store that sells them?

And where can I buy a US/Korea plug adaptor? I've heard that Yongsan is the best place, but where in Yongsan?

Also, can you buy day travel cards for the subway, or do you always have to buy single tickets? I've seen people on the subway using some kind of card that they scan or something and I wondered what that was. Do you get a discount or is it just a convienient way to pay in advance or something?

Oh and where are the best places to hang out or meet people in Seoul?

Down the main street in Itaewon you can buy all sorts of phone cards. The one I like best is "Miracle". You get 300 minutes to the USA for 13,000 won.

Depends on what you wnt to plug in, you can get small ones for 500 won in discount markets. I have used them for a clock radio, but they are not good for the laptop.

You can meet people all over the place, depends on what you like to do.
