(Cant seem to find any mention of it on a google search for the last 1/2 hour so; I'll rely on the good folks of ESL cafe to possibly come to a resolution.)
Since coming to S. Korea 4 months ago, I've had an amazingly unreliable connection to the broadband internet installed in the apartment with my ibook. The PC computer has no issues. But the ibook will at times recognize the network but have ip address issues (though the dhcp is set to automatic) or actually connect but for 5 minute intervals.
I'm currently using vdsl service through KT.
It's been a frustrating experience and I miss using the cute portable toy to its worthy capabilities.
Any hints or tricks are greatly appreciated. |

I have a Mac and KT VDSL. Plugged it in and it works. Sorry that doesn't help you. |

How do you know you're having IP issues? Do you get an error message to that effect?
How does the broadband get from the wall to your two computers-- via wireless, via ethernet cable, modem? Do you connect the two computers the same way? |

Are you using a router to connect both computers? or just switching the main ethernet cable between the PC and Mac?
A little more detail regarding your set up might help to locate the problem
I've had 2 desktop PC's an iMac and 2 Power Books networked up through wireless and wired with no problems on Hanaro through a 4 port Buffalo Air Station wireless router. |
