|
|
We've all got some good quotes from students who try to say something, but end up saying something completely different... Here are my top 3
3. "Someday, I want to be a comic stripper"
2. "On weekends, I enjoy lying on the B-I-T-C-H"
And....
1. In a journal... "Jenny's presentation is very good. We gave her the clap and cheered!"
Noteworthy: "I hate plastic surgery. Sometimes there is problem and people's faces melt" (I mean, just picture it...)
Any contributions? |

Just a couple days ago, my students were congratulating me on a chalkboard sketch they liked, and told me "Bravo your life!"
I know there are much better quotes other there. This one just about made my head spin right around though. |

I'm a shameless briber, and I often carry a little pail of candy around with me at school.
Today some students started calling "Candy please! Candy please!" This never works, and besides, I didn't have my pail with me.
So, they switched to something else they figured I might have, and called "Hamburger please! Pizza please!" |

I was eating pizza in the park at Hongdae when a college kid came up to me holding a sign that said
"I need... "
and a slice of pizza drawn underneath it.
I gave him a slice for sheer brass balls. |

I had some students over to cook Mexican food and one girl bragged to another girl:
"SarcasmKills likes the taste of my taco more than yours" |

My shiest middle school girl chose the preposition "inside" to complete the sentence "Please come _____ me." Fortunately, all the boys in the class are rather immature elementary schoolers who had no idea what the teacher found so amusing ... |

Ummmm.... what could she have said that wouldn't sound somewhat sexual? Is there something wrong with me if I can't think of anything??? The tamest things I can think of are "get" and "find" but even they sound a little suggestive...? |

Please come with me. That's an entirely appropriate response that won't give Dawn the giggles.
Let's call me, "Cindy." I like to go on and on about my beauty, intelligence, how I'm a princess, and other angelic qualities. Drives the kids mad and they can make wonderfully realisitic barfing sounds. Earlier this week, I was testing my kindy kids on some of their ABC vocabulary. With Lora, I pointed to the Q picture, which was a queen sitting on a throne and bedecked with jewels. She thought for a few moments and it was clear she was totally lost. Then her face lit up and she said shyly, but with a grin on her face, "Cindy teacher!" I gave her full credit.
In two classes, I had several kids spell "pizza" as "pizzle". |

I was blowing up balloons with a balloon pump for my kindergarten class the other day. One of the boys asked what the pump was for, and I said that it was for blowing up balloons. He replied by passing his balloon over to me and stating, "Teacher, blow me". |

While I had my back turned writing something on the whiteboard, I heard one middle school girl shout at another girl:
"DON"T TOUCH MY MONKEY!"
It turns out she was referring to one of those stupid stuffed monkey dolls that seem to be all the rage at the moment. |
