Any experience with this school? I have interviewed with them, and so far I like what I've seen and heard. They seem to be professional and organized, and the school has a full-time manager overseeing foreign teachers. The contract is straightforward, with none of the red flags I've seen in sample contracts posted on here. Based on my first interview, I'm interested, and I'm getting hints that the feeling is mutual. I'd like to see what others on here may know about the place...

Thanks in advance Smile

Which campus? There's a few. I never worked there but went out for dinners a lot with the Migeum campus peeps.

CIE... just don't do it. They really don't like foreigners. They will put on the happy face and draw you in, since they need window dressing, but don't expect the honeymoon to last.

The situation there has gotten worse, from what I here. I am still friendly with my former colleagues (Korean teachers) and they say the place is just a snake pit, with a lot of backstabbing and a generally unpleasant work environment.

As for the contract looking good, just remember that a contract is just a suggestion, and if it ever comes time to fight about what it says, they have the home field advantage.

Just my two cents...

CIE is the ultimate 10 month hire-and-fire institute. Sign up if you want to get let go at your 10th month of your contract. Also, their apartments have lots of roaches and other pleasant surprises.

This happens to 90% of their teachers. Good luck!!!
