i meant on women though.

for example, the woman in my avatar would be much more provocative to koreans for her exposed shoulders.

why is that considered provocative in korea anyways?

Good question.

I think the type of clothing you wear and how you wear it has a lot to do with issues of self confidence and overall how you feel about your self worth.

That said, it makes no sense that you see a lot of very short skirts but rarely, (becoming less so) of the kind of shirt that tiger talks about. The kind of shirt that gives the shoulders the light of day.

Bare shoulders are nice but I like sandals. Great legs and nice toes are the hottest thing. Korean girls are blessed in this area.

Summer, its so gooooood.

I know Koreans are scandalized by anything remotely breast related. The sight of a bra strap or god forbid, a nipple ( through a shirt) can pretty much bring a class to a standstill. Shocked

Hmmm. I bet if you flashed your nipples in Canada/USA/England/Japan it would pretty much bring the class to a standstill.

My girlfriend is here from the States for the next 10 days..

She brought about 10 sleeveless shirts..

Koreans have been staring at her.. and she didn't understand why..

I explained the 'sleeveless shirt shock' that Koreans experience when female shoulders are exposed.. but I'm having a hard time explaining the reasoning behind it.

There you go. Sorry I didn't have time to do it this morning. You'll find the links for both of the videos at the top of the front page.

I wasn't talking about flashing a nipple ala Janet Jackson at the SuperBowl. What I meant was if an appropriately covered nipple becomes erect ( which women have little control over ) it gathers much more ( unwanted) attention here.

An erect nipple draws attention everywhere. Find me a place outside of Africa or the tropics where rect nipples wouldnt draw lots of attention.

As I recall from my school days, a sleeveless shirt on a woman gives a guy who's abaft the beam either starboard or larboard a reasonable view of side cleavage.
