Ambassador Hong discloses past illegal land deals
Korea's ambassador to the United States and former publisher of a leading media group, Hong Seok-hyun, confessed he had engaged in camouflaged real estate deals in the past. Hong and his family own a total 73 billion won worth of properties and assets, the largest of any high-ranking government official here.
"I apologize to the public," he said, explaining that the real estate transactions in question had been committed in what he termed "obliviousness" and "misjudgment."
Amb. Hong was president and publisher of JoongAng Ilbo, before he was appointed to ambassador in Washington by President Roh Moo-hyun in February.

Are you saying you don't know how to read the online editions of the Korean Herald, Korean Times etc.?
You can't read a newspaper without help?
Or do you have a genetic trait of indolence?
