|
|
So up until now, I have always succesfully used my han/young key to switch between Korean and English on my keyboard.
Then yesterday, it just stopped working!!!!! As in, I went to type in Korean, hit the key, the letters are in English. Hit it again...still English....I tried it about, ohhhh, 16 times, thinking if I hit it HARDER AND HARDER it might work.
But no, nothing.
Then, I was on Babelfish trying to translate a word, and when I picked "Hangeul to English" a warning pop-up came up, and it said "You don't have the ability to type in Korean..." (or seomthing like that, it was in Korean....)
Can anyone help me? Have you ever heard of this before?? |

Banging your keyboard "HARDER AND HARDER" might have something to do with it's malfunctionning! |

You most likely hit the shortcut key that switches you to English keyboard layout. Left Alt plus Shift is what it is on my Win2000 machine. Left Alt+Shift again should switch you back to Korean.
If that doesn't work, open the Regional Options control panel, look at the Input Locales tab and make sure Korean is selected.
Disable that hotkey to keep this from happening again. |
