Does anybody know of a used furniture place in Bundang? I live in Seohyeon so anywhere in Bundang would be ok. Also, Gangnam is ok if anybody knows of a cheap place that sells quality stuff. Thanks

Does anybody know if the second-hand stores buy things as well? We're moving soon, and haave some stuff to get rid of, but it seems, well, wrong to dump almost-new furniture out into the street to be rained on.
I'm on the east side of Daegu.

The second-hand store near me (Mapo-gu) definitely trades thing in and buys for cash - while I was there looking around the boss kept getting e-mails and phone calls from people getting rid of their furniture. I'd imagine this applies to most places.

I sorta ended up on this thread by accident. I was googling with the search terms "korea" and "rocking chair" and ended up on this thread. Haven't read the posts so this may be redundant, but there is a 2nd hand store that I've read about that has branches all over the country called The Beautiful Store. I don't know where any of them are, but I'll bet calling 1330 could reveal some answers to that question.

Can anyone tell me exactly how to find these places, as in what subway stop and exit, and where to walk from there. Better yet, does anyone have phone numbers for these places? I'm looking for an air conditioner, and I'd like to call around to see who has one, how much, and how I can get one installed.

There is a tiny thrift store in Gangnam gu (one of the Beautiful Stores). It's inside the Bongeun Temple across from the COEX mall (I think it is outside the mall exit close to McDonalds (opposite side of the Samsung Station). When you enter the temple, there are three stores in a row, and the thrift store is the third.

It's tiny, and it doesn't have furniture, but it's worth a look if you're new and need dishes or other necessities like a cheap iron or hair dryer. It mostly has clothes, in the usual tiny Korean sizes and books, which are mostly in Korean, too.

Isn't there one of these just north of the Samgakji subway stop? Anyway, whatever that place is, some of the stuff is right dodgy and overpriced. Watch your step in there I'd say.

It's just NW of Samgatchi Station. I believe that it's Exit #10. Walk a little north and take a left. It's 200 meter away in behind the Xistos Iesus building. (XI) Cool
