Hello Dave's people.
"DDD" magazine invites new poetry about life in Korea for third hardcopy issue coming out in May. [email protected]
Also read the latest about a heroic Canadian girl dieting her way to acceptance.
"Perceptions of beauty vary around the world. In Canada I was chubby.[1] In Spain I was thick, but well received. In Korea Im fat. Fat! What a dirty word. And it wasnt until one of my ha-gwan kids loudly announced this that I realized I was now being held to different beauty standards"

Why heroic?
Because she lost some weight????
Darn, hero status is easier to attain then before. I figured you needed to pull out a kid from a flaming building, dive in a river and save an drowning old man or something.
Lose weight and you are a hero?
Wow!

I don't know about pulling a kid out of a flaming building but around these parts if you push a kid out of a gaping orifice you're considered a hero.
