If you're eating food that could use either one, which one do you prefer?
And for fun, a bonus question: When you return(ed) to your home country, did/will you continue using chopsticks at home? |

I do prefer chopsticks for a lot of things, but they don't work so well with a steak and a knife. |

First, let me come forth and say this is the first I've been the first to vote, except for that time in the Firth of Forth. And, yes, I'd choose chopsticks first; first, because each point has its own end, and the ends justify the means; secondly, because of the pleasing symmetry of twos when sober, versus doubles after the fourth fifth, when one chopstick is stuck somewhere under the table and you're forced to skewer with fewer -- but that's also what chopsticks are for, er, too. |

I see that Numazawa's trip to Gwanak station was successful.
Chopsticks all the way for anything vaguely Korean. |

I prefer forks. Although I am Chinese, which in theory I should be able to use the chopsticks perfectly, the truth is, I don't. My grandma rather spoiled me (I was the last of her grandkids) and I never liked eating, so she fed me until I was almost 8. Which meant that I didn't start learning to use the chopsticks until then. 4 years later I went to the UK and used only knives and forks... so I never got to learn to use them properly. My husband complains now that I don't use them correctly So as a saving grace, I use forks. |

I like using chopsticks, I seem to enjoy the meal more, rather than shoveling it in with a fork. |

I'll use chopsticks, but when I'm at home, it's forks all the way. I can barely use the wooden chopsticks, let alone the metal ones. |

chopsticks. man i even cook with them--allow me to tell you the d503 wonderful kitchen setup: 6 or 7 chopstick/spoon sets (let's just say i misplace things a lot) large scary scissors, and 2 pots. it is a wonderous thing. |

I LOVE chopsticks. Will use them every possible chance I get.
I've even taught KOREANS how to use them properly!! Yes, even though they've grown up using them their entire lives, there are Koreans here who hold their chopsticks in improper forms and not as effectively as they should be.
Remember.. one stick firmly and solidly ALWAYS rests in a secure position while the other stick you control almost like a PENCIL! You'll have the precision with the chopsticks much like you have writing precision with a pencil, if you hold your chopsticks correctly. |

My husband just said to me last night....you are like a typical korean...even though the spoon is there you use your chopsticks to eat everything. ....Steak is probably about the only thing I can't cut with chopsticks... I also had many korean people comment on the fact that I used chopsticks better than they did....I'm not sure why, but most foreigners I've seen eating with chopsticks actually eat the proper way...some koreans have their own unique style.. I have a friend from hong kong....I don't think I could ever eat the way she does....she uses a "pivot" point and moves both chopsticks... |

That's precisely what my husband says I should do. He tries and tries to teach me and I am just a lost cause... |
