just got a car...come up to intersections....my lane suddenly disappears. after that, it feels like no-man's land (no-person's land for the PC ultra-sensitive folk). so I gun it. |

Yea, lanes disappear and stuff here. When that happens, you got to make do and get your ass in some sort of lane once more. |

also, i've noticed lanes "narrowing" to a rediculous extent. There are some lanes i've been in that go from "normal" to somethig I htink only a bike should be in... then, unexpectantly, back to normal. |

And you were expecting what? A logical, reasonable, well-thought-out street system? Oh you silly, silly, rabbit. |

Exiting Suwon IC onto H42 used to have no lane markings for 5 or 6 turning lanes... what a dog's breakfast
But wait! now the new improved version has lane markings, but the bozos in the outer lane don't want to follow them because they'll waste gas... = dog's dinner.
I have to drive this three times a week.
At least they changed courses.
Happy motoring |

There's a couple of intersections near where I live and the lanes don't match up. The ones on the side just seem to disappear. Fruity. |

A guy came speeding out of the Royal Palace last week (the one where the actress Lee Un Ju died) and didn't bother to even look at what traffic was coming (me). He bullied into my lane and nearly sent me flying off of my scooter. I pulled up next to him and gave him a big finger right up to his window. It was quite hilarious, because he jumped back in his seat, as if he were about to be hit. There was a window between us, which made it even more funny. |

i was driving on cheju-do once and had to slow down on 1 of the roads because of the traffic. i stopped and put the gear in neutral to light a smoke when i swear to god the road looked like it was rising while my car drifted downhill! it spooked the crap out of me! i'm never going to that goddam island again! |

There's an urban legend down here about a weiguk that crapped in the drivers seat of his rental car. Was that you? |

There was another thread about driving here...same story, the road signs, markings and lights are just suggestions.
I used to get seriously pissed off and road rage on drivers, I still give them the horn and the finger if they get too stupid. I try to anticipate their actions, and if they make an attempt to signal in time, I'll try to let them in, because sometimes I need to change lanes too. But if they just drive up from the shoulder, or from the left oncoming lane to pass or get up front, I'll be on the bumper in front of me so close and won't let them in. Especially if it's a chaffeur driven car....I'll give the old guy in back the middle one all rigid and stiff...One day, I'll probably get into an altercation that will get physical, but usually it's just shouting and replying with my best Korea profanity...which probably doesn't make sense, but it sure feels good to reply back!! |
