A Korean version of Nair is sold many places. It may smell bad, but it does work.

For waxing I wouldnt recommend the place above burger king. I would go to a place called dashing diva near the food court in coex. It is managed by a korean women though she has spent a lot of time in the states (she's actually got american citizenship) so it's basically up to american standards. I've had my eyebrows done there and will get my legs done when the weather finally gets a little warmer.

I'm not sure about Dashing Diva, but I've seen GIs go to the place above Burger King for pedicures.
