Does anyone know of a place to get tattoos in Osan or the Seoul area?

Preferably Osan, going this weekend. Smile

There is a place in Osan (Songtan) beside the Subway sandwich shop on the second floor. Many books to look through etc....

Not sure how clean/safe or friendly it is.

Everyone always says not to get a tattoo here, but i don't have any experiences with them here.

Good luck.

I also think you'd have to make an apointment its pretty busy in there on the weekends, with piercing and other stuff.

Its actually in a nail salon Shocked

Im actually going there tomorrow to go tanning, can get the number if you want.

I personally wouldn't trust a nail salon to have any decent tattoos artists.

OP: I say go to Japan. Japanese style tattoo work is great. If you're interested in decent sized work PM me and I can get you in touch with the artist that did my leg last month. (expensive but worth it)

Thanks for the replies. It was for a friend (although I'm interested myself). Maybe it wasn't exactly "URGENT" but "Time Sensitive" just doesn't have the same ring to it Smile

camelina if you could hook me up with that number that'd be great. We're heading down Saturday morning.

I know tattoos are a "gangster" thing here, in the words of one of my students, but you'd think there would be some decent artists around!

oooops went today and totally forgot Embarassed Sorry. But it is there and wasn't busy at all.

They do have loads of albums with tatoos that have been done there.

Doesn't look too bad, just the surroundings lack professionalism.

Well I think that depends on what kind of work you or your friend wants. The Yakuza have really nice tattoo work so maybe it's the same here. Maybe I'm just being a tattoo snob but if you want a butterfly or some sweet tribal, go to the nail salon. Wink But make sure you see an autoclave, single use needles and a tattooist wearing gloves. Hep. C isn't a laughing matter.

The place in Osan(Songtan) is probably ok cos I'd assume the bulk of their clientele would be air force guys & if there were any problems with their work they wouldn't be in business.
Having said that if you go there, ask around, the military guys there are generally very helpful.
