I hate to be the one who says it but...

Koreans often look down upon any type of dissability. If he said it at the outset, chances are he might not get the job. If he had a seizure at work, woah, that would make the school news for sure.

It may not prevent him from working. It may not get him fired. It may even turn out to be fine and he may even educate some people on it.

But, it may also be a tough road.

good luck.

You are right about that! I met a guy with a slight limp last week, a Korean guy, really cool, but he had this limp, and he told me that no girls would ever date him because of it. He said that he had a girlfriend once, and her parents made her break up with him because of his "flaw". I noticed last chusook that the Koreans looked over every single pear to see if it had any flaw, if it did, they would not buy it (this was at a small stand outside my apartment), I wonder if there is a correlation............

good luck.

He can but try. Be upfront about his epilepsy and that it's well controlled through medication. Even in the land of the amazing discrimminatory employment practices he may get a job. If he doesn't ask the question, he'll never get an answer. Good luck. Smile

I don't mean to sound bad here but....

Isn't epilepsy triggered by flashing lights and bright ones at that??

Korea is the home of flashing bright lights everywhere, if i had epilepsy this would be the last country i would come to.....it sure would be risky.
