1) (the easy one) How easy is it to install RAM memory into a desktop. I have 512 and I'm considering the jump to 1 gig. I don't feel like carrying the tower, and I'm a DIY kinda cat, so how easy is it?
2) (the hard one) What can cause internet slowdown. I went from having massive speed last night, to getting about a 14.4 connection this morning. What gives? Any ideas?

1. Almost certainly easy, unless you have a non-standard or very old motherboard, or you've already filled all the memory slots, or you have a tiny case that makes getting at anything impossible.

As long as you've got space to work and the right memory selected, it's just a case of earthing yourself, lining up the memory and pushing until it clicks.

2. Could well be a problem at your service provider's end, if nothing obvious changed at your end. Other slight possibilities would be a dodgy connection (particularly if you're using wireless) or a virus / trojan stealing all your bandwidth, but I doubt that's the cause. Try another PC on your connection if you can - that should isolate the problem.
