Teaching tip-
Before quizzes I tell my uni students not to cheat. If they give me any reason to suspect that they are cheating I will take a picture of them and post it on the Internet.
Works great!

| Shame and physical violence are the only thing some Koreans seem to understand, I think the former is a much preferable option when you need to change some attitudes. |

Before I give an exam...all students know the rules...no cell phones, etc...if it rings...you earned yourself an "F."
If you are caught copying from another students paper...you both earned a "F."
I don't give grades...you earn them. If you earned a "F,"....don't come crying to me...I didn't give it to you...you did.
But..I like your idea of pics on the WEB! I'll try it! |

Don't you just love it when you catch a student blantantly cheating and they look up at you and say, "teacher, I no cheat. Johnny cheat."
I just rip up their tests and send it home with them to give to their parents with a note stating your little emperor is a cheater and I do not tolerate cheating in my class...
it's beginning to work... |

Man i have never seen such "cunning" as here in Korea. They are trying to learn a foreign language and think cheating helps?
Wait. Maybe they are not concerned about learning the foregin language, just passing tests. |

Well, they're not trying to learn a foreign language. They're trying to keep possession of their PS2. |
