Who else watched this event? Was anyone else as disappointed as I was?
It seemed like almost every fight ended in a quick TKO/KO! I guess "rapid fire" is the appropriate way to describe these fights. The only fight to which "rapid fire" was applicable when not in a quick-stoppage context would be Taylor v. Kelly. Man, those guys came out furious!
BJ Penn's fight was great to watch, if for no other reason than all the blood.
I thought Gonzaga would put up a much better fight, especially after taking out Crocop last April.
And Hardonk. . . that was a win, yes, but that was a sloppy win. 17 seconds. Ha. |

Penn dominated every aspect of the fight, blood or no blood.
Gonzaga was the only reason I watched the card at all. He did get in plenty of nasty low kicks. His legacy will be that he dished out many powerful kicks and although he caused a lot of pain, most of his fights ended in him losing. |

Watched it this afternoon. I enjoyed the Penn fight but that was about it. I don't know why Sherk (sp?) is all uppity about the title being his. He is the steroid freak that tested positive. |
