|
|
It's been an enduring mystery as to why the major Korean email providers like hanmail and daum bounce back emails from the world's leading email providers like hotmail and yahoo. These are one of the things I just write off as "well, that's Korea".
I was talking to a Korean friend about this problem and she suggested this: By default hanmail etc have a very severe spam filter. There's actually an option in the spam settings, which is toggled on as the default, that says to reject all non-Korean language email. Not many users are aware of this default and don't know to turn it off. Hence the reason why some of us report our emails getting through and some of us report bounce backs. |

A student told me yesterday that hanmail wants hotmail, and the rest, to pay them for every email sent to a hanmail account.
I'll tell my student to adjust her spam filter though. |

That will happen about the time South Korea demands and starts to get money from the USA in reparations for their part in the Korean War (which South Korea wanted the US to join). |

I've been sending Korean emails to hanmail before without any problem, but since a couple of weeks I am getting my mails back
They're 100% in Korean and I still get them back. |
