Years ago, my mother gave me a bullet...a bullet, and I put it in my breast pocket. Two years after that, I was walking down the street, when a berserk evangelist heaved a Gideon bible out a hotel room window, hitting me in the chest. Bible would have gone through my heart if it wasn't for the bullet.

A gun. Religious books don't fire bullets (although it would be kinda cool if they did!).

Any idea will always be potentially more dangerous than a gun.

without guns, idiots would still kill each other over their dungeons and dragons fantasy books.

so my vote is for the dumb reason to fight, rather than the tool of the trade.

When was the last time you heard a gun lover claim that (a) the gun is the key to understanding the universe in opposition to demonstrable fact, (b) one must stone to death unbelievers?

Bible/Koran, no question. I'd also argue that these books are more dangerous than thermonuclear weapons.

Absolutely. They have a greater range than any firearm and a greater effect radius than a nuke. Good call, Hale.
