Fanned by strong winds, a forest fire was raging in the northeastern part of South Korea on Thursday, forcing authorities to order the evacuation of 5,000 people in the region, officials said. The blaze began around 3:25 p.m. in Yangyang of the mountainous Gangwon Province, about 215 kilometers northeast of Seoul.

Oh man not again. Tough season up here this year. A smidgeon of rain yesterday morning but a strong hot wind today sucked any moisture out of everything.
