Hi guys,

I'm coming over to Korea pretty soon. I did have an EPIK job lined up in Incheon but its looking like it will fall through as I don't have my criminal records check. The woman helping me (from WorknPlay) has located me a job in a elementary school in Namyang. Sounds great, but Namyang isnt found in my guidebook and I've googled it to no avail.

I'm a social beast so would like at least 1/2 other expats out there in the same place as me so I won't all be on my own, has neone heard of Namyang, whats it like?

I used to live in Guri which is kind of near Namyang. One of my best friends lived there and she always came to Guri/Seoul on the weekends. Not many foreigners there at all and no hang out place and its a ways to get into Seoul. This was a couple of years ago maybe its changed. I'd keep looking if i were you.

Well I just found out its in a city called Hwaseong. The city itself sounds pretty quiet, but it seems to be 15 minutes from Suwon.

I'm only 21 and do like to go out every now and then, am I better off with a Hagewon job in Seoul?
