Where?? All I see are these $200, steel, wiegh a ton, framed for a dwarf POS out of Emart!

I'm looking for mid range bike - carbon fibre/ aluminium frame, decent gearing something worth keeping.

I hear rumors of bike stores in deachidong etc, but being from the larger world outside of Seoul, some specific store locations, names would be helpful.

Cheers

I live around the corner from a big, specialist Mountain Bike store in Daechi-dong, Seoul.

The bikes they stock look nothing like the usual crap in Lespo etc. I don't know a lot about bikes but these look like the real deal. Probably expensive.

I never noticed the name of the place but I'll check it out tonight and post here later tonight. They probably have a website.

Hwayang Sagori has Giant, Trek, Specialized P-Works, good looking shop.

Samgakji and Sungshin Women's U. Stns. also have good shops around them.

I checked out that store. It looks awesome. They have Cannondale, Scott, Trek and a stack of other exotic looking bikes.

decent bikes are pricey in Korea. I paid about 800,000 won for my TREK which was stolen after a short 9 months. I could have bought two crappy motorcycles for that price Confused

There are two great bike shops in Daejeon, if that's closer.

Dunsan MTB carries Specialised--one of which I just bought. Prices range from 420-800.

The place across from Hanbat Stadium has everything from entry level Treks for 550 to Gary Fishers for more than I'll ever have.

Both have helpful, friendly owners and the latter has an extensive affiliated MTB club.
