I don't understand why my avatar doesn't show up on Dave's. I've done everything by the book: I have a free acount with an image host www.photobucket.com. The pictures I have on there are just web camera pics of my cute little cat here (so no hotlink pictures or internet pictures). I go to the picture and even resize it till it's nothing (under 6Kb and dimensions under 80X80 pixels). I then copy the URL address (the first line under the pic) and paste it onto the avatar control panel under my Dave's profile and press Submit...but nothing! I have tried this over and over again! Is it possible that I don't have administration persmission or that I missed a step(although I'm pretty sure I didn't)? I'm sure I'm doing every step so there must be a problem with my account or computer?
Any of you computer whizzes (well anyone is better with computers than me) help a poor girl out? I really want an avatar like all you cool avatar people I'd appreciate it |

You're using a .bmp file, and the forum has not added .bmp as an inline viewable image file. Convert the picture to a .jpg and it will work then. |

She probably doens't know how to convert the file, she said she knows nothing about computers. let's help her out with a little more details.
step one, open your picture in paint.
programs>accessories>paint
then file>save as> choose jpg
re-upload your file to photobucket. |
