I use Bitlord as my client - it works well. Seems to be similar to Bitcomet.
Anyways, for new shows with a lot of seeders/downloaders, I usually averaged between 100 kb/sec and 200 kb/sec, downloading from torrentspy, and http://www.tvtorrents.com
Last week, I was downloading a show from tvtorrents, when suddenly the message in the tracker info said "Tracker Response Coding Failed: you sent me garbage - Invalid. torrent" and then I lost my account with tvtorrents, which sucked since I had over 220 GB worth of credit from downloading/uploading...I emailed the guy who runs the site, asking him if he knew what was going on, but he hasn't responded.
Now, my client is only downloading most shows at a rate of 2 kb/sec to 8kb/sec.......but I can't figure out how this could all be tied in together...
Do you think it might be my internet service provider? Because since that day, most of the time, my connection will time out when I try to connect to that site, unless I'm using a proxy server.
Also, my ISP blocks any Http://whatever.blogspot.com websites and I was curious if this was common or if I should mention it to the ISP or what.....
thanks for any advice you can give me for my miscellaneous problems |

Hmm, this is a just a shot in the dark as to what your problem might be. I myself use Bittornado which is reliable and seems to be acceptable to sites that I use. I know from many of these sites that they say do NOT use clients such as Bit Comet, (I think Bit Lord might be another) as they do not report properly the upload and download rate. Hence the reason why I've stayed away from such clients. Bitornado has served me well ever since I made the change from the standard Bittorrent default tracker. I hope this helps............................. |

Did you change something or install some kind of Windows update that might have toggled your firewall on? Check your firewall settings and make sure your bittorrent client has open ports. Those lousy rates sound like a bittorrent client that doesn't have open ports. |
