Yes, Cambodia is a corrupt state of leadership taking all from the people and so is America to sick extremes. This is capitalism and no it's not fair in most cases. Laws favor and protect those in the money or high social status regardless of how wrong it may be. Capitalism only worked when leadership were fair and adequately profit shared with those under them as to give them a living wage. America is largely responsible for this corrupt state as it taught Cambodia how to act, particularly the NGO's financed by America who drive big Lexus SUV's in a greedy and selfish manner.
When capitalism was invented long ago, it was intended for everyone to be a part of profit sharing with those under them to reward them for their performance that allowed middle managers and executives achieved successes at work or in a business. It's indeed a take all mentality in most parts of the world today with no regard for those in lower positions, but Cambodia is a lawless state of corruption where the police or anyone in power only work when hired by anyone with money. Sometimes police officers want money for nothing where they just wait for you to come to make you pay to continue on. I don't know what happens if you argue and tell them they're wrong.
This is why socialist country systems are very important in Europe as to give Europeans a standard of living other than poverty. I'm an American who believes in socialism as to allow the majority at least a livable way of life and promote a healthy country of well educated and cultured citizens who have a reason to be proud and happy. |

Well, it only took 4 posts for this to become about America. I guess we should be happy it got that far.
So, just to count them all up, on the CE page there are currently 50 topics and 39 or 40 of them are about the United States.
So, yeah. Cambodia is poor because the United States taught an Asian country how to be corrupt. Prior to the United States, Asian societies were liberal democracies with equal distribution of wealth and equality for individuals under the law. The governments didn't plunder, rape and kill for their own sake. The macho attitude of the men in charge is due to Hollywood movies and NGO's and not native to Asian societies. Also, Cambodia is "capitalist", and obviously so.
Indeed, what Cambodia needs is European style socialism. No, well, not the European style socialism of Pol Pot and the KR (who were trained by French Marxists and heavily influenced by Jean Paul Sartre) but they need ROUND 2 of European style socialism, this time with the goal being

Maybe they can start from Year Zero and wipe away the false consciousness for real this time.
Or, we have another American-centric American who just finished his undergrad in "sociology" and is walking around the world with ideological blinders on making an ass of himself every time he opens his mouth. |
