Does your school have toilet paper in the restroom?
Mine does.... sometimes.
We went about 3 weeks without it, and now it has suddenly reappeared.
We can buy our own from the junkfood store if we want.
No towels, as well... of course! And my personal pet-peeve... the sink counter is always soaking wet from people shaking off all of the water, since they don't have any towels. |

I could write a book on our bathrooms, but the short answer is that I.S.C. is, among many other things, TP deficient. |

TP sporadically, no hot water of course, one communal dingy towel, one equally as dingy communal bar of soap, pools of water surrounding the sinks, a veritable lake on the floor and the aroma contained within is beyond description. |

Korea, the land where toilet rolls are ubiquitous save the toilet.
Actually I'm very lucky. The kindergarten has seperate toilets for boys and girls and the boys never use the sit-down toilet in there. |

The first two weeks of school we did, but not anymore. There is a new bar of soap today so I guess that's something. My co-teacher occasionally brings me a roll of toilet paper though so I'm all set. |

Your school sounds exactly like mine...except no soap. |

classical music?!?! I'm lucky if I can get the door to shut! Our director buys TP but it rarely makes it out of the teacher's room. I've gotten into the habit of grabbing some every time I head out the bathroom, so it's not much of a problem anymore.
No hot water, no soap, no towels. Thank god for Purell hand sanitizer. My mom's sending two more bottles over. Five months and I'm almost through 500mL. I'd never used the stuff before. Worth it's weight in gold around here - it has to be the reason I haven't gotten sick too often (knock on wood). |

When I worked at a NATIONAL uni (supposed to be better, right???) they didn't have TP in the bathrooms.
I teach at a private uni now...and there is almost always TP. |

watch your local listings for our new docudrama:
Crouching Ajuma, Hidden Toilet Paper
The Chicago Sun-Times: (***1/2) It's a revealing expose!
(Note: That's not THE Ajuma)
These days, I control the TP distribution, AND the water pressure. Time was, though, I worked in a big old government office building, and they were out of TP about 50% of the time.... at least in the little boy's room. But we did have _a_ rancid looking cloth towel, liquid soap, a bar of soap, and very pulpy brown paper towels. Almost woodchipy. Oh yes, and cold or cold running water -- 24/7 .
That bothered me. When the liquid soap was gone, you'd have that hard-as-a-rock bar of soap and cold water. That and cold hands in winter... useless. |

|

My school is full of dust, so I'm constantly having to wipe off my tables and desk and counters, and so I use baby wipes for that purpose, as well as going to the toilet. I find the baby wipes to be much less harsh on my backside than dry paper, especially the not-so-soft Korean toilet paper. Also, I've learned to navigate the "hole" toilets by simply finding a toilet at school that is kind of out of the way and I just hanging my clothes and using the "hole" toilet, as opposed to theWestern toilet - which shows that after four years in Korea I'm doing things I thought I never would. |
