My kid was trying to check his e-mail at home. Apparently, the Korean server has him locked out of his mail until a parent allows consent. Well, I don't have a NRRN because I'm NOT KOREAN.

WTF? how can this happen? Is there a work around? Has anyone else found this problem?

Never heard of that.. what company is it?

I know that the our school says Kyonngi locks out MSN Messenger, but I suspect it's a lie, and it's a local thing. We had one computer it worked on.

The foreign teachers said the school did it because they didn't like seeing the foreigners chatting on MSN all day with their friends. They expect us to mill around and talk to the Korean teachers more during our off hours, or something.

Buddy-Buddy and Yahoo still work. It's odd.

I use Megapass (KT Server), now he tells me he created his account a few years ago when we were in Korea. Strange. I'll have to get the old lady to see what's up. Maybe there's a customer service contact.

He can get his chat on, but can't check his mail without a parent consent, can't get the consent with out a Korean NRRN...catch-22, typical.

Oh, thanks again for coming out the other weekend. A bit awkward due to the volume. Maybe the Quiet Riot/Skid Row is more in tune than the
"Screamers". At least more our age..?

Honestly, the concert really made me smile (and snicker) at how old I've become. Your son really played guitar well. It's a shame they couldn't get the audio worked out so we could hear him better.

And those two Laurel and Hardy guys screaming and jumping in the front were the funniest things I've seen in years! Hilarious to see that skinny guy fighting the big guy for floor space! hahaahah!

They will look back on that some day and really smile about what fun they had!

If the server is checking your IP address and making him confirm it because he's in Korea, you can use this to get around it:

http://www.unipeak.com/

That is, if that's what is causing the problem. Besides that I'm stumped.
