In this thread, let's all give Korea JUST 1 suggestion that will help them become the hub of Asia. Maybe it's possible.

I will start.

1. Build another international airport.

2. Strive for greater transparency in international business by making English an official second language.

Mine's similar to Ilsanman's suggestion. Build a maglev train like the one in Shanghai that will take people to the airport in eight minutes from Seoul (420 kph).

Get rid of the Business restriction for foreign owned business'. I almost think that Samsung and LG can't compete with the rest of the world with out protectionist laws of South Korea.

Presumably we're talking about another airport down south somewhere? I'm not sure if there's enough demand for Pusan International.
They are building a train from the airport to the city right now- but it takes a while. I agree that it's a shame they couldn't have done it sooner, but I guess the budget wasn't there. It won't be a maglev train like Shanghai as far as I know, but I'm sure it'll be faster/cooler than the bus.

Wasn't there already a story about President Roh proposing english as a second language earlier this year?

I think the best thing for Korea to become an asian hub would be to get some permanant route through the north to China, the geography of the country is the whole point of this 'hub' concept, but it's meaningless whilst the barbed wire is in the way.

Take the time to understand that what's going to appeal to foreigners is not the same thing as what will appeal to Koreans. In order to make this place a hub, you've gotta make people want to be here and it should be obvious that Kimchi and Yongsama aren't going to lure in foreign business.

Learn Chinese. (Don't know if I'm allowed two suggestions. If not, scratch this one and just disarm the Norks.)
