Has anyone heard of this school before. I'm not familiar with Honey schools at all.
I'm also wondering if there are any other good sites for finding teaching postitions in Seoul, particularly in the Kangnam area. I know it's popular place to live and teach among foreigners.

First of all, it's in Seocho, not Gangnam.

They lie to you from the start, and it continues as they constantly test your nerves. It's a tiny mom and pop school (3 classrooms), so they were always looking to skim off the top and be stingy. The husband was a quiet preacher, but the wife was a liar who would constantly complain and spread bad vibes. She turned out to be a psycho, and she had a mustache btw. Here's what I went through from Mar. to Nov. 2004.

I was promised single housing, but it was a tiny shared apt. It was my first time in Korea and my roommate was super cool and could teach me a lot about Korea (culture, language, etc), so I didn't mind. My room was tiny and only big enough to fit a queen sized matress. She refused to buy us a refrigerator, but she finally bought us air conditioners after some pressure.

She promised a salary increase, from 1.8MIL/mo to 1.9MIL/mo, after the first 3 months, if I performed well. When it came time, she lied and said I was only to get an increase if more students enrolled while I instructed. I said fine, since I didn't come for the money.

There's no curriculum, so the other teacher and I had to always make the daily lessons and homework for all classes. The kids were out of control and the school didn't do anything to reprimand them. Eventually the stress was too much, so I arranged a deal where I could leave in Nov. with no severance and just 500k Won for a flight back home.

Now comes the funny part.. she said I could stay at the shared apt so I could party up the last few weeks. Then all of a sudden, she went crazy because I didn't teach an extra day (Dec.1), and told me after the 2 weeks that I was being charged 30,000 Won per night. She only gave me about 300,000 Won (of the promised 500,000), so I just took what I could and left. The only reason I didn't confront her or post flyers around the neighborhood (in hopes of ruining her business) was because their daughter also attends the school, and it would affect her negatively also.

I heard the local elementary school, where most of the students attend, recently started an English program that depleted a lot of their customers (not students, since they're only in it for the money), so they devil woman is back to complaining all day. I hope they go under soon, because what goes around, comes around.
