Ok, I made it through my first week and i can read the script and know one good curse word. Where can I go to take language lessons without paying a lot of money, considering that I live in Anyang (south of Seoul but on the subway line) and work afternoons/evenings in the Hagwon?

Check and see if their are any universities in your area, look at the local YMCAs (sometimes they offer classes)
Get a language partner and a book (look for someone who has experience teaching korean (they are out there))
Take a nice trip to gangnam and go to KLA like me (I love that nice hour subway ride)

Anyang is a tough place to find a korean school (I should know, I lived there for 3 years).

You can either find a tutor/ language exchange or head towards Seoul and gangnam.

I am studying from the Seoul National University text book...you can study by yourself, get korean colleagues to help you, and take the university exams. I've heard there are 6 books in total.

You can find it in most ESL bookstores.

I've heard that these are pretty good too:

There's a Korean class for foreigners at Hanyang University in Ansan (30 minutes from you?) that holds classes on Mon-Wed-Fri from 10:30 AM to 12:30, if that helps. I forget the cost, but if you're interested, I can find out.
