How much do they charge for delivery on big items that I can't carry with me in a cab? How easy is to arrange for delivery with limited Korean?

When I bought a couple of big-ticket items from Emart in 2002, everything was delivered the next day for free. Gave them my address, paid for everything, and that was it.

I bought a big tv from EMart a few months back and they delivered it, unpacked it, and set it up for free the next day.

We had a refrigerator, washer/dryer, and TV delivered a few weeks ago. They were supposed to be at our place at 3pm, but didn't show until 9. This was on a Saturday night. The wife complained vehemently, and to make up for it we were given (from Samsung and E-Mart, sharing the blame) a Braun mixer valued at 95,000 won, a set of pots and pans, a case of faux-crystal glasses, complete with two readily-accepted beer mugs, and a 100,000 won voucher from Samsung.

They still deliver and install for free. And if they're late, it's best to complain about it until you get a sh*tload of free junk thrown in.

Then you got used, had, taken, and bent over. Should have gone to Yongsan.
