Corruption Scandal Strikes Local Chapter of Lions Clubs
A Korean chapter of Lions Clubs International is allegedly involved in a 2.08-billion-won corruption scandal over the process of selecting its heads. The incumbent and incoming governors for the local chapter in southern Seoul, comprising 200 member clubs, have been involved in the scandal, Yonhap News Agency reported Monday. The news agency said some senior members, including former governors, reported the scandals to the global headquarters of the body and asked for suspension of duty for those involved in the scandals.
