I have a pet guinea pig (rescued from the trash pile while in its cage). I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good place to get guinea pig food. I used to get guinea pig food (with Japanese labels) from Lotte Mart at Seoul Station but they don't seem to carry it anymore. Has anyone seen a pet store that sells guinea pigs or guinea pig food? (Preferably the Japanese label brand). Thanks.

That's strange. I've seen guinea pigs for sale at every Lotte Mart I've visited. They don't carry food for the little buggers, though?

I know this is no help to you, but I thought I'd at least remark on the oddity of the situation.

Have you checked the local pet stores. Perhaps they could order some for you in bulk.

If you run out of options I know a good recipe for guinea pig stew that I picked up in Peru.

rabbit food is NOT meant for guinea pigs and should not be fed to them. They don't actually need pellets of any kind. They need hay/fresh grass and lots of vegetables and sometimes a little fruit.

Well, they definitely sell hay at some of the bigger animal clinics with boutiques ... they're all over town (assuming the OP lives in Seoul?) so it shouldn't be too hard to find. I'm sure I've seen hay at vet offices in Sinchon and Itaewon but I doubt you'd have to go that far.
