|
|
>. Question ...
Where is it better to get married ??? Canada OR Korea ??? Anyone know much about the legal "technicalities" surrounding this sticky little business ???
#2: Does a potential Korean spouse need some kind of special state permission form / license etc. etc. in order to have an overseas marriage recognized by Seoul ???
Any feedback here would be appreciated. Thanks |

We got married here (Korea) back in 1999.
We went to the Gu-office and got the paperwork done then went to the Canadian consulate in Busan to get it finalized and it was automatically recognized as valid by the CDN gov.
No hassles.
With a marriage liscence from abroad I can only assume it would be just as simple as taking the paperwork to an immigration office or going through your embassy here. |

Go to the Canadian Embassy in Korea website and all your concerns will be addressed.
