Ibrahim Ferrer, a Cuban singer who vaulted from obscurity to international fame when he came out of retirement to perform in the Buena Vista Social Club, has died.
I really love that music. At least he did receive some recognition before his death, but still a sad day.  |

| Love his music, am generally not "sad" about the deaths of famous people, even ones such as Ferrer whom I consider treasures, seeing death as ineluctable...and life, sometimes, as even more sad. Respect his life and am thankful that he was here while he was. |
