How can someone find out the business registration number of their employer without actually asking the employer. I'm looking into my tax witholdings but can't get the tax office to cooperate with a business reg. number, however, I dont' want my director to know what I'm up to. Any ideas?

How about creative lieing? Call your boss and tell him you are at Immigration because you lost your ARC and need the number to fill out a form.

i'm pretty sure that businesses MUST display their operating permits in an accessible place.
check the walls around the front desk of the office, i bet you'll see it hanging around.

That's true. I know a teacher who needed it and he checked permits on the walls and found it. Trick is doing it while not being busted, of course.
