i've been working in korea as an adult/child combo teacher and I'm planning on getting a new job at the end of June. I've got an interview for a public school tomorrow and i'm wondering... whats working for a public school like? Anything special I should watch out for? What kind of starting pay should I expect?
any other tips would be appreciated. |

Up to 40 kids in a class, up to you to work out a happy working relationship with coteachers & the administration, & you'll almost certainly be the only nonKorean on staff.
If youre good with all that, it can work out well.
Depending on your experience & credentials, you'll earn anywhere from sub-hagwon wages to pretty sweet. Public school contracts appear fairly standardized these days.
Doing your homework just one day before seems a bit lax. Best wishes anyway. |
