I've only just arrived so purchasing a bike is a long way off, but i'm interested in doing a bit of a background check before hand.

What is required to legally own and operate a scooter (apart from a "spidey sense" to work out the roads here. I'm a bit out in the sticks and a scooter taking me to and from carrefour would be groovy.

I've got a UK drivers license so I can drive, but I only got it in January, so I'm eaons away form being able to get a international license.

Thanks!

Chris

Dont worry about an international.

Arrange to go to the local DMV and get a Korean license. Cheap and easy and they are good for 20 years.

This will allow you to drive cars and any motorcycle up to 124 cc.

A helmut is mandatory(and common sense)

Insurance is also now required. It runs about 100,000 won a year and covers nothing.
