Anyone notice any major break throughs on the Korean summer fashion front? Short skirts are still in vogue, maybe a touch higher than the year before. Maybe it's me but I'm seeing more white pants this summer than last. There's this rather irritating jean pants/kinda dress with a skirt combo that's going on. Hip huggers seem to have arrived, albeit it might be a summer or two before you see the low rise/thong combo.
Is there an in color this summer? Last year it was that mint/apple green. For some reason my kids label every blue these days as "sky blue". Don't know it that's some new in color trend. |

white jackets seem to be the rage at the moment. I can spot 5 or 6 korean teachers wearing them |

Jelly shoes are not new... although maybe fluoro Jellies are!
Who else was in the 'I-want-Jellies-but-Mum-won't-let-me-have-them-'cos she-says-they're-plastic-rubbish' Club?! |

Something I've noticed lately, that I didn't see before is girls wearing skirts with leggings that go down about knee level. Very ugly looking because they'll match them with just about anything. |

I love the sundresses I see here. I stocked up on them. I've also noticed more sleevess shirts on girls (something I was told never to wear)......is it more acceptable now? |

An open vest that rides high, stops at the breastbone, drawing attention to a woman's bossom.
Kind of like a Matador's vest playing torro with their huskies.

Yea, I am seeing more shoulders these days than in the past. I am also seeing too many panty lines, I really don't like that for some reason. |

I too have seen a lot more "upper body" of late.
Personally, I'm still loving the skirts. |

God I hate that one too. But happily, I am seeing less and less of them. |

this unflattering fashion style is out of date. only a few can pull it off and only then if the skirt is fitted and flirty. and forget about that loose peasant dress variety! |

I didnt know that people thought sleeveless was inappropriate in Korea, I've always worn them there going back to 1991 and no one's ever blinked twice at me... the same goes for short shorts
anyone see lavendar/lilac and pastel melon green over there? those colors are everywhere you look in nyc, even in combination! |
