Who is a cheesier actor: Van Damme or Steven Segal?
(overall cheese in ACTING, not in real life)

Very difficult question to answer.

I think Seagal is the cheesiest, guy won't stop making films and waddles about like a 240 pound doorman.

Not that Van Damme is an actor of Jimmy Stewart's caliber, but I think he at least tries to act. Seagal seems to like acting for the first 15-20 mins of the film, then gets bored and just wants to twist peoples' wrists.

Both have produced some of the best D list films I've ever seen.

Seagal is also the most dangerous of the pair, by far (I think). But soooo difficult to say who is the better actor.

I'd have to go with Van Damme because of his hilarious sci-fi movies.

Steven Seagal at least sticks to straight up action and gets props for being "Cock-Puncher" in The Onion movie even though I haven't seen it.

Seagal definitely wins, not for the acting, but for the charicature of the Buddhist Native American he does in real life.

I'm lactose intolerant, and whenever I watch a seagal movie I crap funny for weeks...Van Damme flicks on the other hand only give me the Hershey squirts for like two days, max. So, I vote Seagal.

Also: have you guys heard his music? It's AWESOME. It puts the 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!' back in awesome. It's SO BAD. He's got maybe four albums, each one worse than the one before. Totally worth a download if you feel like laughing your ass off at a bloated douchebag in blind passionate love with himself.

(tho he was good in 'the onion movie,' i must admit.)

It's a movie, called 'the Onion Movie,' From the good people who bring you 'the Onion,' the satirical American newspaper. The Seagal bits are the only really funny parts, I thought.

Worth a download, but if I'd bought the pirate DVD i'd've thought it not quite worth my three bucks. Lots of other people liked it better than I did, though.

If it's real life, it's Van Damme. But Steven Segal has to take the cake for acting - all the greasy pulled-back hair with leather jacket action just adds on to it all!

Acting like he really understands Asian culture??? What are you talking about.. He lived in Japan for years. He married a Japanese girl (first wife) and studied aikido under her father. He was the first foreigner to ever own and operate an aikido dojo in Osaka, Japan.
