this is the third time Incheon has been rated highly by an independent survey, and the third time people on this board have dismissed the results.
When are people going to realise that just because their boss paid them 2 days late it doesn't mean there are no positive sides to Korea? |

I've been to at least 50 different airports, and Incheon and Hong Kong are the nicest I've ever been to. ICN made such a great impression on me when I first came to Korea. The water that cascades down the wall right outside of the customs area is a brilliant concept- I love modern architecture and interior design! I wonder who designed the airport...
Mexico City has a narsty airport. There is a shanty town super close to the runways, and the minute you land, you are hit with the smell of raw sewage. The airport itself is poorly ventilated and air con is non-existent if my memory serves me correctly. Great deals on tequila at duty free, though!! |

I'm with you SJ. I am in and out of Incheon perhaps 10 times a year and I spend a lot of time at airports round teh wrold. Is it a coincidence that the best airports are not found in USA?
I have spent many hours (in total) at San Francisco, Los Angeles, Newark, Washington Dulles, Houston, Nashville, Dallas and a few others.
San Francisco was quite good: the rest? Well, most worse than Taipei CKS. |

The sh*ttiest airport ive had the pleasure of landing in was Hoh Chi Min in Vietnam, you actually have to get of the plane on one of those ladder trucks.
Also up there are a lot of the domestic airports in China, Brunei wasnt that flash either, just a round circular room.
The best, Hong Kong, Kualar Lumpur, Incheon and Aucklands pretty nice as well. |

I've always liked Incheon. So easy to navigate.
It let me down recently though. As I was doing my Osaka visa run.
I wanted to fill my carry-on bag with as much booze, smokes and make-up (no! not for me!!!) as I could fit in while going through duty-free. As any normal passenger would......Anyway, I had only about 70,000 won in my pocket so I needed at least 100,000 more(18 year old Glenfiddich is expensive! Even in duty-free) so I asked information where the cash machines were....Obseo! No cash machines once you get past security and immigration. Is that normal? There's millions of shops but nowhere to get cash!!!
My girl was so let down. I could only afford my whiskey and smokes!!! |

I don't mind Incheon, but the KAL lounge isn't that great at all. Small range of drinks, the food is pretty inadequate, reading material is limited -it's and where's the spa?
That said, it's comfy, good to work in, has loads of natural light (like the airport itself) and it's nice and relaxed. I've heard that the lounges in Hong Kong are a cut above - I hope to find out soon |
