Quicker U.S. Visa Applications?

There are many people lined up at the American Embassy in Jongno-gu, Seoul, waiting to apply for visas who planning to go to the United States over the summer vacation. They complained, "It has been said that visa and other consulate work has become more efficient, but not much has changed."

It's the same everywhere....burning flags and screaming "Yankee go home" but lined up the next day screaming "Yankee take me with you!"

During the Sandinista days in Nicaragua there were government sponsored demostrations every Monday morning waving their FMLN banners and Che posters.....the next day you would see the same people lined up at the embassy to get visas to get the hell outta their worker's paradise...

Not a surprise, at all.

I know some who wanted to visit the U.S. for only a week or so while others hoped to stay forever. Wink

That's funny because I can never get out of that godforsaken country or "the great satan" as it's also called, fast enough.

I don't get it. If Korea is such a utopia, such a paradise, why the hell do they want to leave it? Many Koreans have difficulty adapting to life outside of their fragile little eggshell, so why risk going outside(where all those dirty foreigners have AIDS and like to commit crimes and such)?. Why risk it? You're better off living with your minimal crime stats and your soju fests.
