Today I am on my way out of the public school I work at and I am saying goodbye to one of the other teachers.

Me: "See you tomorrow"
She: "No...tomorrow no school"
Me; "What? Confused
She: "Tomorrow school birthday, no school"
Me: "Wow. See you Thursday"

A pleasant surprise but why couldnt someone have informed me earlier? I am just glad I didnt go to school in the AM to find out Laughing

Hey, weatherman, is the girl in the pic named "Mini?"

She looks like a Doumi I know. At least her belly-button does!

Poor communication is a mixed blessing - but a blessing nonetheless.

It means that in three years at my university - I have gone to exactly ZERO meetings! Yeaaaaaaa.

I'll trade all the wasted time in meetings (in places that have "good" communication) for a nice suprise like Founder's Day - any time!

Once they actually start communicating - watch out! It never stops.

I just found out about Memorial Day weekend yesterday. That was a pleasant surprise.

Though today, I was told that there was no CR class. Having rented a video for the students Club Class, I was a little miffed until the English teacher told me. "Just play the video in all regular classes then. You don't have to teach them English today. The school must be quiet for 3rd grade exams." Well... that's just great no teaching today. On the minus side: Having to Watch the first 50 minutes of Mean Girls 3 times today.

You can call her any name you want. And one has to like belly-buttons!
